Why only one range?

Most travel companies sell the whole Alps. We sell nine mountain groups between Bolzano and Belluno, because that’s what we can know properly.

We walk it first

Each spring we re-walk the routes that changed over winter: landslides, closed huts, new lifts. Your route notes say what we found, with the date we found it.

Stats

The range in numbers

18peaks above 3,000 m, the highest the Marmolada at 3,343 m

Quote

A large centered quote with a ghost word behind it.

“Give me the forecast and the hut’s number, and I’ll get you over any pass in this range or tell you why not today.”
Luca Runggaldier, head of planning

Columns

Two to four columns with a heading and short text, a rule above each. Columns stack on phones.

Who you'll deal with

Your planner

Builds the route with you, books every bed, sends the notes, and checks the forecast with you each evening of the trip.

Mountain guides

Qualified guides from the valleys for every via ferrata and any day you'd rather not navigate. We work with the same few each year.

Hut guardians

The people who run the rifugi. We've known most of them for years, which is how private rooms appear in August.

Tell the hut if you’ll be late. Guardians track who hasn’t arrived and will call rescue if you go missing. We give you every hut’s number for exactly this.

Trail grades

en/grades

The Italian Alpine Club path grades, one card per grade with its badge.

What the grades mean

Every path in the Dolomites has an official difficulty grade from the Italian Alpine Club. We use the same grades, so what you read here matches the signs on the ground.

T, tourist

Wide paths and forest roads. Fine for anyone who walks regularly, children included.

E, hiking

Proper mountain paths, some scree and steep steps. Needs boots and 5 to 6 hours of stamina.

EE, experienced

Exposed sections, loose ground, short scrambles. A head for heights and earlier mountain days.

EEA, equipped

Via ferrata: cables and ladders with a harness and lanyards. We always add a guide.
