Why this route, and why with us
The Via delle Bocchette is less steep than many Dolomites via ferratas but far longer and more exposed: hours on ledges a meter wide, with drops of several hundred meters beside you. It suits people who have done a few ferratas and enjoyed them.
An IFMGA mountain guide leads every day, with four climbers at most. Two nights at Tuckett give you a short first day and a full day on the Benini before the move south.
When the weather turns
Snow can linger in the gullies into July, and storms build fast in August. The guide may change the order of the sections or wait a day at a hut; we keep one spare night in hand for that.
Included
- Mountain guide for five days, four climbers at most
- Harness, helmet and via ferrata lanyards
- 4 nights in huts with dinner and breakfast
- First night in a hotel in Madonna di Campiglio
- Transfers from Verona and back
Not included
Flights, lunches and drinks at huts (budget €30 a day), the guide’s tip if you want to give one, travel insurance with mountain rescue cover, tourist tax paid locally.
Where you sleep
Tuckett and Pedrotti are large huts with private rooms we book where they exist. Alimonta is smaller, with bunk rooms of six to eight and a terrace facing the central towers.

Very, in places. The ledges are wide enough to walk, but the drops are long. The cable is continuous on the exposed parts.
Often in early July, in the shaded gullies. The guide carries crampons for the group if needed.
