Why this route, and why with us

The Sella Ronda is a loop of lifts and runs around the Sella massif that links four valleys: Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba and Val di Fassa. It is all on marked pistes, mostly red, and anyone who skis reds with confidence can do it.

Skiing it in one day is a long tour. Skiing it in stages, with a night in each valley, gives you time on the best runs of each. You do both, with a local instructor who knows which lifts queue and when.

When the weather turns

In fog or high wind some passes close. The instructor reroutes on the day, and the van can take you and your bags round by road if a crossing is shut.

Included

  • 6 nights in four hotels with dinner and breakfast
  • Dolomiti Superski pass for six days
  • Local ski instructor for six days, six skiers at most
  • Luggage moved between hotels
  • Transfers from Venice or Innsbruck and back

Not included

Flights, ski and boot hire (about €180 for the week), lunches on the mountain, travel insurance with winter sports cover, tourist tax paid locally.

Where you sleep

Four family-run hotels, one in each valley, all close to a lift. Each has a sauna, a boot room and dinner of local food; two are in the old village centers.
