The huts we book first every January

Some huts fill months ahead. These are the ones we book the moment their bookings open.

Most huts in the Dolomites take summer bookings from the winter before. A few are so popular that their July and August beds go almost at once. For these, our planners are at their desks the day bookings open.

Our seven

  • Rifugio Lagazuoi, for the sunset terrace above Cortina.
  • Rifugio Locatelli, facing the north walls of the Tre Cime.
  • Rifugio Biella, alone on its limestone plateau.
  • Rifugio Nuvolau, on a summit with views in every direction.
  • Rifugio Tissi, opposite the great wall of the Civetta.
  • Rifugio Puez, in the middle of the Puez plateau.
  • Rifugio Averau, for its kitchen.

Each of these sits on a classic route, so a missing night at one can change a whole week. That is why we build those weeks around the hut, not the other way round.

If you are planning on your own, check each hut’s own website for when bookings open, and have a second choice ready.
